IBeton obtains significant time saving thanks to new business software
We are visiting IBeton, the company par excellence for all your concrete purposes. Their story begins in the 50's, but meanwhile it's already the fourth generation and for the last two decades IBeton is established in the industrial zone TTS in Temse. It's still the Illegems family who runs the company: Jos Illegems, Peggy Heirbaut, Nicholas Illegems and Charis Illegems.
IBetonis specialized in cisterns and septic tanks. But this concrete specialist from Temse also produces and delivers concrete beams, concrete poles, wall platess and capstones.
For accounting and sales they used an old Windows system.A system where elaborate business processes and invoicing had become a habit and which wasn't compliant anymore with the needs of modern business management.

There was no possiblity to send digital invoices, there was no multiple-document interface and getting information into an Excel file was a no-go.
The combination of these aspects were the main reason IBeton started their search for a new system. The references and experience of Accomodataalong with a demo of Odoo convinced them to work together. The integration of the modern Odoo Software was immediately compliant with their needs for a more digitalized invoicing process for IBeton as well as for their clients.
As planned, they went live on January 2nd 2020 with Odoo Enterprise. IBeton took the time needed to clean up the master data from the old system and to think about their future working method.
A strong preparation in combination with clear communication ensured an impeccable go-live. Everyone, even the creatures of habit, was convinced of this new way of working. It was as clear as daylight that this new business software was going to ensure a much more efficient working method.
With just a few clicks IBeton gets an overview of all orders, sales and accounting. The reporting possibilities brought them a better overview on the whole company as a result of which they were capable of reacting and deciding faster than before.
Documents can be send online from the Odoo environment and when certain actions occur, the system automatically sends out a notification. The calendar ensures a clear planning of the team and prevents overlap.
Odoo Enterprise is used in the offices as well as in the warehouse at IBeton. The people at the office are responsible for the delivery slips, invoicing and communication with the clients. The people at the warehouse, on their turn, take care of the order handling.
Even for the employees at the warehouse, the switch to this new way of working didn't cause anytrouble, thanks to a small internal training. The external accountant of IBeton also has access to the Odoo environment of IBeton to do the closing directly in their system. Speakingof efficient working method.
Thinking about the future, IBeton has a clear view. They intend to enrich their Odoo environment with the production module and to deepen stock management to get an even better hold on the company. To do so, they can still rely on the assistance and experise of Accomodata.
